The Museum of Florida History is pleased to offer a teaching resource filled with prepared activities, books,
films, and objects for teachers and students to explore. This traveling trunk is based on the popular museum
education program, My Symbols, My State, My Florida. Targeted to grades K-3, it is designed to meet Sunshine
State Standards and be FCAT-friendly. The trunk explores the concept of symbolism through learning about
representations of Florida. The trunk is available at no cost to teachers in the Tallahassee area. There is a
charge to cover shipping to teachers and schools outside of the capital. For more details or to make a reservation,
please e-mail or call the Museum Education Staff at (850) 245-6400.
