Fort Myers, Florida 33901
Lee County
(941) 332-5955

This site is located in the Southwest region of the state.

From I-75, use the SR82/M. L. King Jr. Boulevard exit (Exit 23) toward Ft. Myers/Immokalee. Stay right at the fork in the ramp and merge onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. At Jackson Street, turn left and then right onto Peck Street to museum.

The mission of the Fort Myers Historical Museum is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history and tradition of Fort Myers and the surrounding area. A permanent display presents photographs and artifacts related to WWII in Lee County. Of particular interest is the engine and cockpit of a P-39 Aircobra which was recovered from a local crash site.

In addition, the museum archives include photographs of both Buckingham and Page Fields as well as issues of the Buckingham Field newspaper.
