Pinecastle Army Airfield
Orlando International Airport

One Airport Boulevard
Orlando, Florida
Orange County

This site is located in the Central region of the state.

DIRECTIONS
Orlando International Airport is located nine miles southeast of downtown Orlando, at the junction of SR 436 (Semoran Boulevard) and SR 528 (Beeline Expressway).

Developed as a replacement civilian airport after the conversion of the municipal airport to Orlando Army Airfield, this site became Pinecastle Army Airfield in late 1942. Used during World War II as an auxiliary base to Orlando Airfield and as headquarters for the School of Applied Tactics, this site eventually becomes the Orlando International Airport.
