Annie B. Johnston

Annie B. Johnston worked for the Federal Art Project during the Great Depression of the 1930s. She created several hundred watercolor sketches of selected historical objects, most from the collection of the Florida State Museum, now the Florida Museum of Natural History. The drawings, except for some alternate versions she kept, form part of the Index of American Design in Washington, D.C.
