Ruby Diamond (1886–1982) was born in Tallahassee and lived here her entire life. Diamond inherited a large fortune from her family and donated to charitable causes throughout her lifetime. She was one of the wealthiest and most prominent people in Tallahassee. Ruby Diamond Auditorium at Florida State University is named for her.
