Connie Palmer (1935–) grew up in Clarksville in the Florida panhandle, where her family had lived for generations. She learned to make baskets as a child from her mother and grandmother. Palmer has continued the tradition of basket making by Creek Indian women and has given many demonstrations at museums and festivals.
