Palm Beach resident, Lilly Pulitzer (1931–) is one of Florida’s well-known fashion designers. She designed simple dresses from fabric printed with bright, colorful patterns. The dresses became known as Lilly dresses. Pulitzer closed her business in 1984, but acts as a consultant to the company now producing the dresses under the Lilly label.
