About the Friends of the Museums of Florida History, Inc.

The Friends of the Museums of Florida History, Inc., is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose purpose is to support programs, exhibits, collections, and activities of the Museum of Florida History and the Knott House Museum.

Interested in Becoming a Board Member?

The Friends of the Museums of Florida History, Inc., is looking for new board members! Board members generate financial support through fundraising for Museum exhibitions, programs, and facilities and promote benefits of Museum membership throughout the state.  Board members also serve as advocates for the Museum and encourage public involvement and access to Museum resources. Specific Board goals and objectives are established annually through a Letter of Agreement with the Department of State.  For more information about the Friends of the Museums of Florida History, see the Meetings and Reports links below.

We are currently recruiting for diverse leaders with expertise in cultural organizations, finance, fundraising, history, human resources, marketing and public relations, museums, retail, and technology.  We are also seeking out board members who believe in the mission of the Museum of Florida History and want to make a positive impact in our community.
