He does not know his life is a popular television reality show broadcast to the entire world. The town is really a huge studio and its residents are actually actors following a script. When Truman gets suspicious, he attempts to leave the island. The picturesque coastal community of Seaside, in the Florida Panhandle, provided the film’s outdoor scenes.
